The University of Wisconsin men's basketball team announced its first 2023-24 nonconference game Thursday against a team it was supposed to host three seasons prior.
The Badgers will host Tennessee at the Kohl Center on Nov. 10, UW said in a release. The matchup is the second of a home-and-home series with the Southeastern Conference's Volunteers, which was agreed to in 2019.
A time for the game has not yet been announced.
UW won its visit to Knoxville, Tennessee, 68-48, on Dec. 28, 2019 at Thompson-Boling Arena. UW was scheduled to host Tennessee at the Kohl Center the following season, but was unable due to complications from the COVID-19 pandemic, the release said.
Tennessee went 25-11 last season and advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.
The Badgers previously were announced as members of the Beach Division at the 2023 Fort Myers Tip-Off Nov. 20-22 along with Southern Methodist, Virginia and West Virginia.
